SIGNAGE COORDINATOR

Perth Festival | Full Time, Fixed Term | Perth, WA

We are looking for an organised and hands-on Signage Coordinator to join our Production team and help bring Perth Festival venues and precincts to life.

Perth Festival is your summer invitation to otherworldly experiences, Australia's longest-running arts festival, celebrating over 70 years of world-class performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events on the shores of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River).

Grounded on Noongar Boodjar and founded by The University of Western Australia, we champion First Nations traditions, commission major new works and connect Perth's communities with the world's finest artists every summer.

About the role

Perth Festival is looking for a Signage Coordinator to coordinate the planning, production, installation and maintenance of signage and wayfinding across Festival venues, precincts and event sites.

Working closely with the Production Services Manager and teams across Production, Operations and Marketing & Communications, you will help ensure signage is delivered accurately, safely and on time, while supporting audience navigation, accessibility, operational requirements and Festival brand presentation.

This is a diverse and practical role that will see you coordinating signage schedules and installation plans, liaising with suppliers and contractors, supporting wayfinding across multiple sites and monitoring signage presentation throughout the Festival.

Key responsibilities will include

- Coordinating the planning and delivery of Festival signage across venues, precinct and event sites.
- Developing signage and wayfinding solutions based on site layouts, audience flow, operational requirements, accessibility and Festival branding.
- Developing signage schedules, installation plans and deployment timelines.
- Coordinating directional, informational, regulatory and event signage requirements.
- Supporting effective audience wayfinding and accessibility across Festival sites.
- Coordinating Festival branding and signage installation across venues and public spaces.

- Liaising with signage suppliers, printers, fabricators and installation contractors.
- Monitoring production schedules, delivery timelines and contractor performance.
- Coordinating signage installation and removal activities.
- Monitoring expenditure, raising purchase orders and processing supplier invoices.
- Maintaining signage inventories, schedules and operational documentation.
- Supporting WHS requirements, risk assessments and safe installation practices.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve signage requirements as they arise.

About you We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

- Experience in signage coordination, event branding, wayfinding, production coordination or event operations.
- Experience developing signage, wayfinding or environmental graphics solutions, rather than solely coordinating signage production.
- Experience coordinating signage production and installation across multiple venues or sites.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working with contractors, suppliers and production schedules.
- The ability to interpret site plans and operational requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality presentation.
- Experience with budgets, procurement and administrative processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
- An understanding of WHS requirements within event or installation environments.
- Flexibility to work outside standard office hours during key Festival delivery periods.

Experience within festivals, cultural events or major public events would be highly regarded,

as would experience with large-format printing, fabrication, environmental graphics, accessibility, wayfinding or working with branding and marketing teams. Why work for Perth Festival?

Perth Festival is a vibrant and cooperative environment that engages with some of the most incredible professionals, artists and art in the world. We are passionate about the role the arts play in bringing people together, creating connection and contributing to a thriving cultural community.

We work hard, we love what we do, and we empower our team to be part of something meaningful. If you are highly organised, enjoy working across multiple projects and stakeholders, and would love to play a hands-on role in transforming Festival venues and spaces, we would love to hear from you.
