Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Signwriter role based in Burnie, TAS. The Signwriter will design, produce, and install a variety of signage, including vehicle graphics, shopfront signs, banners, and other custom projects. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting client briefs, preparing artwork and layouts, selecting appropriate materials, operating sign making equipment, and applying vinyl or printed graphics.

The role involves hands-on fabrication, measuring and cutting substrates, and performing on-site installations with attention to safety and quality. The Signwriter will collaborate with the team to meet deadlines, maintain equipment and workshop cleanliness,



and ensure a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

- Experience in signwriting, graphic design, or visual communication, including layout, typography, and color use.
- Practical skills with sign making tools and equipment (e.g., vinyl cutters, printers, laminators, hand and power tools).
- Ability to read and interpret client specifications, sketches, and digital artwork files.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling, working at heights, and on ladders or platforms, following safety procedures.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production and installation deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a skilled, customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team in a workshop and on-site environment.
- Relevant trade qualification, apprenticeship, or industry experience in signwriting or a related field is highly desirable.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for installations.
