About The Opportunity:
My client is an established and growing commercial construction business seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their Toowoomba-based team, with a planned commencement in January 2027, or potentially earlier for the right person.
With a strong pipeline of secured work across Toowoomba and regional Queensland, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering technically challenging projects with a strong focus on quality, programme and construction outcomes.
Upcoming projects include multi-rise accommodation and complex structural builds, making this particularly well suited to a Site Manager with proven experience delivering projects of a similar scale and complexity.
About The Role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, driving the project from commencement through to successful completion.
Your responsibilities will include
- Manage day-to-day site operations, sub-trades, and build schedules.
- Coordinating subcontractors, trades, suppliers and site personnel
- Managing construction programmes and driving works to key milestones
- Ensure uncompromised quality finishes and structural compliance
- Overseeing structural works and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Working closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators and consultants to resolve site and construction issues
- Conducting regular site meetings and coordinating upcoming works
- Monitoring subcontractor performance, quality and productivity
- Enforce exemplary on-site safety, cleanliness, and site standards.
- Managing site logistics, access, deliveries and sequencing of trades
- Identifying potential programme or construction issues early and implementing practical solutions
- Driving projects through defects, completion and handover
About You: You will be an experienced construction Site Manager who is confident taking ownership of complex builds and maintaining control of programme, quality, safety and subcontractors.
You will ideally bring
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction
- Experience delivering multi-rise accommodation, residential or complex structural projects
- Trade background with high attention to detail and finish quality.
- Strong understanding of structural construction and building methodology
- Excellent subcontractor management and programming skills
- Robust attention to detail, particularly around quality and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation
- Strong understanding of WHS and site compliance requirements
- Confident communication and leadership skills
- A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
