Could you be the next Social Procurement Lead in Melbourne we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and social responsibility expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, creative, and forward-thinking team members. You'll play a key role in driving Alstom's social procurement strategy, ensuring compliance with our contractual requirements, and maximising social value across our operations.
Working closely with project teams, procurement, and external partners, you'll help embed social procurement into project delivery while building strong relationships with diverse suppliers and community organisations.
We’ll look to you for:
- Delivering social procurement outcomes across projects, ensuring achievement of supplier participation, spend, employment, and social value targets.
- Ensuring compliance with client, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including the Victorian Social Procurement Framework and other social value commitments.
- Building and growing a diverse supplier network, including social enterprises, Indigenous businesses, and community organisations.
- Partnering with project teams and stakeholders to embed social procurement practices into project planning, sourcing, and delivery activities.
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on social procurement performance, providing accurate insights and recommendations to drive outcomes.
- Driving continuous improvement and capability building by enhancing social procurement processes, tools, and organisational awareness across the business.
- Contribute to project outcomes by ensuring workforce and R&D; commitments are effectively supported and achieved.

- Degree in Social Impact or a related field.
- Knowledge of social procurement frameworks and community engagement best practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, community organisations, social enterprises and diverse suppliers.
