We are seeking a qualified and experienced Solid Plasterer for a full-time, ongoing position. This opportunity is available due to continued growth and strong demand for our services. The successful candidate will perform a broad range of plastering tasks to support our projects and uphold our high standards of finish.

This is a full-time position offering a salary of $76,515 per annum plus superannuation, in line with market rates and award conditions. Standard working hours apply, with potential for overtime depending on project requirements.

Task & responsibilities

· Determining plasterboard layout, installing insulation and vapour barriers

· Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings, and battens

· Preparing and securing corner beads

· Fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings





· Covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, smoothing with wet brushes and sandpaper

· Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement, and render using trowels, levelling and smoothing to uniform thickness

· Plumbing and straightening corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces

· Creating decorative textures in finishing coats

· Applying and finishing acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement, and similar materials

Qualification & experience

· Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Solid Plasterer or in a similar role

· Relevant trade qualification in plastering (or equivalent) preferred

· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

· High attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

· Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain)

· Reliability and punctuality essential
