What your day could look like
As a Social Worker Senior - Domestic and Family Violence, you'll play a vital role in supporting people through some of the most challenging times in their lives. From delivering specialist interventions to strengthening workforce capability, you'll work with multidisciplinary teams to create safer outcomes and a more responsive health service.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
Providing expert assessment, safety planning, counselling and coordinated support that helps individuals and families navigate domestic and family violence.
Building workforce capability through education, mentoring and practical guidance that strengthens confident, evidence-based responses.
Partnering with health professionals and community services to improve continuity of care and outcomes for those affected by violence.
Driving service improvement initiatives, contributing to protocols, programs and creative approaches that enhance quality and safety.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
Degree-qualified Social Worker eligible for, or holding, AASW membership.
Strong experience in domestic and family violence assessment, intervention and coordinated care.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across various settings.
Ability to lead education, mentoring, service development and quality improvement activities.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate study or additional training in domestic and family violence and/or experience contributing to service innovation,
workforce capability or regional health services.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every interaction, helping deliver safer outcomes and stronger support for the community.
