Software Developer

What you'll do

- Build the review application in Angular — the UI that lets humans review, correct, and confirm extracted data.
- Drive productionisation — deployment, observability, and auth toward a reliable production platform.
- Design and implement the API/service layer that connects the frontend to the AI extraction workflow, with clean contracts and model translation across boundaries.
- Own integration and data plumbing — connecting the app to cloud storage and the pipeline's outputs.
- Fix correctness and data‑integrity issues at the product layer.
- Support the evaluation and pipeline infrastructure the Data Scientist relies on — runtime performance, fast local iteration, and CI/build tooling. You own the plumbing; they own the metrics.
- Maintain documentation and engineering standards, including decision records for significant choices.

What we're looking for

Required

- Solid frontend web development with Angular (TypeScript)
- Strong Python engineering
- Good grasp of web app + API architecture (REST patterns,



auth, model/DTO design)
- Typed, tested, maintainable code (unit + integration testing)
- Experience deploying and operating apps on Azure (or a comparable cloud) — storage, identity, CI/CD
- Comfort in an early‑stage codebase — scaffolding, pragmatic decisions, and hardening toward production as the stack evolves

Nice to have

- C#/ASP.NET Core — helpful for the current BFF, though this layer may consolidate onto Python
- LLM / document‑extraction application experience (Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI, or similar)
- Backend‑for‑frontend patterns and API‑driven client/DTO generation
- MLOps / evaluation tooling (e.g. Azure ML), container builds, and GitLab CI

Tech stack

- Frontend: Angular (TypeScript) — the established, long‑term frontend framework for this project
- Backend / API: Python (FastAPI) for the AI‑facing services, with a service/BFF layer bridging the UI and the AI backend. The BFF is currently ASP.NET Core (C#/.NET); consolidating it onto Python after the proof‑of‑concept is a live possibility
- Cloud: Azure — Blob Storage, Document Intelligence, Azure OpenAI, Azure ML; managed‑identity auth
- Delivery: GitLab CI/CD, devcontainers, conventional commits, decision records
- Agent-first Development: Github Copilot assisted development
