An opportunity has opened for a motivated and driven Sorting Team Leader to join our depot team at Vinnies W.A.

The Distribution Centre consists of office and depot staff including a fleet of trucks who together service the stock requirements of the Vinnies shops, local affiliates and the contracts and partnerships which exist to provide assistance within the W.A. community. About the Role

Based out of our Canning Vale Distribution Centre and reporting to the Supply Coordinator, this position will be responsible for the quality sorting of items in readiness for delivery to Vinnies WA retail stores across WA. They are responsible for ensuring all Sorters have complied with their daily targets and all correspondence is filled in accordingly. The Sorting Team Leader rosters the sorters into their various daily roles and ensures all duties are conducted safely, with a vigilant approach adopted in respect of the items being sorted.

- Maximum-term full-time position (12 month parental leave cover)
- Working hours are 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday (with some flexibility)
- Ensures Sorters have sorted donated clothing into different categories included but not limited to: wearable for centres, retro, mission, export and cotton
- Ensure Sorters have sorted donated items for special orders, following instructions for correct sorting
- Ensures all Sorters maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
- Conduct all duties in accordance with WHS guidelines

- Previous experience leading / managing a small team
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to motivate and lead others
- Ability to work as a team player and contribute to team outcomes
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adhere to and meet daily targets
