Our clientis a leading global asset manager, seeking an Institutional Client Service Associate to join their dynamic team in Sydney. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to institutional clients within the asset management sector.

As an Institutional Client Service Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for managing client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and support throughout their engagement with our firm. This role is integral to maintaining client satisfaction and contributing to the growth and reputation of our asset management division.

This role will suit candidates with around 3-6 years experience in Asset Management – ideally coming from Client Services, Business Development Support (BDA), or from within the investments team seeking to move into a client facing capacity.

Key responsibilities

- Serving as the primary liaison between institutional clients and internal teams, ensuring all client queries and requests are addressed promptly and professionally
- Managing client onboarding processes, including documentation collection, account setup, and facilitating introductions to relevant portfolio managers and specialists

- Provide end-to-end support on new business opportunities, including RFPs and RFIs, pitch materials coordination, meeting preparations and follow ups
- Monitoring client accounts and investment performance, preparing regular updates and performance reports for institutional stakeholders
- Coordinating client meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling, logistics and materials preparation




- Maintaining comprehensive client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
- Identifying opportunities to enhance client relationships and cross-sell additional services or products within the asset management suite
- Supporting the resolution of client issues and complaints, working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure swift and satisfactory outcomes
- Assisting with market research, competitive analysis and industry trends relevant to institutional client needs
- Contributing to the development and refinement of client service processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency

Experience:

- Proven experience in a client-facing role within asset management industry – CSA, CSM, BDA etc
- 3- 6 years of relevant experience within the investment management industry
- Direct buy-side experience supporting Institutional relationships is preferred
- Strong understanding of asset management operations, investment products and institutional client requirements
- Strong acedemic qualifications and ideally CFA underway.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with senior-level clients and internal stakeholders

- Demonstrated organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail in managing multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a cooperative team environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving client issues
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to institutional asset management
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the financial services sector
