About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our Mine Production team at Mt Ida.

Reporting to the Mine Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for delivering training, assessment, Verification of Competency (VOC) and coaching to operators across mobile plant, light vehicles and ancillary equipment.

Working closely with operational leaders and frontline personnel, you will play a key role in developing workforce capability, maintaining compliance and supporting continuous improvement across our training and competency systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Deliver site inductions, mobile equipment, refresher and task-specific training programs through practical and theoretical training in compliance with relevant legislation and site requirements.
- Conduct competency-based assessments and Verification of Competency (VOC) for mobile plant, light vehicles and ancillary equipment.
- Provide field-based coaching, mentoring and support to operators in active operational environments.
- Work with supervisors and managers to identify competency requirements, workforce capability needs and succession planning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain training materials and assessment tools,



while ensuring accurate training, competency and VOC records.
- Participate in incident investigations where training, competency or procedural compliance factors are identified.
- Promote safe operating practices, equipment care and operational excellence across the site.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated mining experience in training, competency and VOC assessment, with 3+ years’ open pit mobile plant operational experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current unrestricted Western Australian C Class (manual) Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of WA WHS legislation, mining regulations and safe operating practices.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when maintaining training and competency records.
