Orange Base Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Mental Health Telehealth service on a 12-week contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to deliver mental health nursing support remotely, working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. The position runs from 2 November 2026 to 24 January 2027, and is ideal for a nurse with mental health experience who is confident working independently in a telehealth workplace.

- Deliver mental health nursing care and support through a telehealth platform
- 12-week contract with flexible 12-hour shift patterns (7:00 am-7:30 pm)
- Work independently in a remote setting, supporting patients across Orange and beyond

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing practice




- Confidence and competence working independently in a telehealth or remote clinical environment
- Strong communication skills, particularly in building rapport with patients via digital platforms
- Ability to manage clinical documentation and electronic health records accurately
- Sound clinical judgment and the capacity to recognise and respond to mental health concerns appropriately

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialist knowledge in mental health nursing
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote clinical delivery models
