Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Receivable and Collections the Manager, Credit and Collections Manager will provide proactive leadership and accountability for delivering the results of the Credit and Collections function.

We are looking for a strong leader to take ownership of and actively maximise UnitingCare’s working capital by bringing forward cash inflows and minimising bad and doubtful debts through the creation, application and optimisation of strategic credit management and advanced debt collection policies and disciplines.

The position holder will understand the holistic approach, and partner with Business Units to improve revenue recovery outcomes through the design and use of relevant and insightful data analysis and reporting and build solid internal stakeholder relationships.

Please note, this is a full-time permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working at the appropriate time.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

- Drive the strategic delivery of the Credit and Collections (C&C;) function

- Provide effective performance management and compliance with relevant legislation, standards, Uniting Church and Board Policies

- Contribute to the maximisation of synergies across UnitingCare as a single integrated organisation to improve service delivery and business performance, and to promote the Church’s work in health and community services in the broader community

- Contribute to Projects as required and drive the delivery of the C&C; Capabilities Roadmap

- Drive the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure high quality, efficient and effective credit management and advanced debt collection activities for the UnitingCare group

- Ensuring adherence to regulatory, contractual, organisational and industry standard best practice and alignment with business and customer need

- Accountable for the delivery of exceptional customer experiences

- Ensure the successful delivery of monthly close processes and cyclic activity,



including reviews of financial controls, procedures and processes

- Internal and external audit activity and deliverables

What makes a difference for us?

- 10+ years Management experience with operational finance experience, including a Credit Management position in a large organisation/multi-entity setting

- Management experience in dynamic change and complex environments

- Strong leadership and proven track record to drive and deliver results

- Strong communication, reasoning, stakeholder management and customer service skills

- Ability to prepare detailed reports using ERP, Excel and reporting tools

- Intermediate to advanced level of Excel skills

- Knowledge of Dynamics D365, AX 2009, SAP, People Point, Procura, AlayaCare, MyCMS, Salesforce, Genesys, PowerBI, eForm solutions

- Desirable: Member of CAANZ/CPA, Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or a related field, Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM)
