You will support older people to remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes by delivering a range of property maintenance and garden services.
Working across our Home Services team, you will undertake outdoor maintenance, gardening and general handyman tasks that contribute directly to our customers' wellbeing and quality of life. From lawn mowing and hedge trimming to basic repairs and general property upkeep, your work will help create safe and welcoming home environments.
You will work independently while also being part of a supportive team, building positive relationships with customers and ensuring services are delivered safely, professionally and in line with individual service plans. Through your practical skills and commitment to customer service, you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people throughout the community.
The requirements | What it takes to do this work
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current Drivers Licence
- Reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
- Empathy and commitment to the care of older people
- Demonstrated interpersonal and written skills
- Understanding of VVHS Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
- Committed to workplace equity

- Satisfactory police check (to be updated regularly)
- Previous aged/disability care/Gardening or handyman experience
