Purpose

Perform a variety of tasks to support the maintenance and safety of Council’s roads and bridges. Operate and maintain plant and equipment, ensure compliance with traffic safety standards, and undertake road repairs to provide safe and reliable infrastructure for public use.

Essential Requirements

- General Induction for Construction certificate (Whitecard).




- Working ability to operate and maintain plant such as tractors, towed rollers, self-propelled rollers, backhoes, trucks, and attachments.
- Experience in maintenance labouring and/or civil construction activities.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
- Awareness of workplace safety.
- Understanding of traffic control and public safety procedures.

Desirable Requirements

- Class HR Driver’s Licence.
- Qualifications in Traffic Control.
- Front End Loader Competency
- AQFIII Chemical Spraying
