The Role
Fixed term, 12 months Advanced Trainee

- Remuneration Package $194,625 - $212,600 (including salary $166,617 - $182,143)
- Package incorporates annual salary + 11.5% employer superannuation contributions + 17.5% leave loading bonus + the value of two weeks extra recreation leave

The Location
The city has a laid-back, multicultural atmosphere, drawing residents and visitors with its friendly community and energetic lifestyle. The city is renowned for its lively outdoor markets, waterfront dining, and bustling nightlife. It serves as a base for exploring nearby natural wonders, including national parks like Kakadu and Litchfield, and is famous for its spectacular sunsets and thriving arts scene.

The Facility
The rehabilitation services expanded in 2018. The entire service now operates within a purpose-built facility alongside the Geriatric service, a 24-hour Emergency Department, Pathology, and Radiology.

The unit features a 24-bed general rehabilitation ward, managing a diverse range of adult rehabilitation cases,



including stroke and neurological conditions, amputations, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic cases, and multiple trauma. There is significant exposure to Indigenous healthcare needs, with opportunities to participate in Outreach clinics.

A private hospital with a dedicated rehabilitation ward is also co-located at the main public hospital. Outpatient services include clinics for prosthetics and orthotics, chronic pain management, stroke, and brain injury rehabilitation. Additionally, the facility boasts on-site hydrotherapy and a comprehensive allied health service, ensuring holistic patient care.

The Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration
- Passed RACP written and clinical exam or recognised overseas equivalent and within 2 years of completing fellowship training.
- RACP Substantially Comparable outcome encouraged to apply
