Bowls Coordinator | Club Mount Lewis

The Opportunity
Club Mount Lewis is seeking an energetic, organised and people-focused Bowls Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and future growth of our bowls program.

We are looking for someone who understands bowls, enjoys working with members and volunteers, and can also identify new ways to grow participation, events, membership and revenue.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will work closely with our bowling members, selectors, volunteers, Club staff and external bowls organisations to ensure our bowls program is professionally coordinated, well communicated and positioned for growth.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coordinate the Club's weekly and seasonal bowls calendar.
- Manage Club Championships, social bowls, Pennants, entries, draws and results.
- Maintain BowlsLink and other bowls administration systems.
- Coordinate tournaments, visiting clubs and major bowls events.
- Work with selectors, coaches, volunteers and members to support the smooth delivery of bowls activities.
- Develop and promote Barefoot Bowls, corporate bowls days and group bookings.
- Build relationships with schools, community groups, businesses and other organisations to introduce new people to bowls.
- Identify opportunities to grow bowling membership, participation, events and revenue.
- Offer coaching to social, competition and casual bowlers as required.
- Work with Club management and marketing providers to promote bowls through social media, digital channels and member communications.
- Coordinate operational requirements for bowls events including greens, catering, staffing, equipment and functions.
- Assist with Sydney Lions/BPL activities and other major bowls initiatives where required.

- Represent Club Mount Lewis professionally within the broader bowls community.
- As we are a smaller venue there may be some cross over into club management on selected days where there are no bowls related activities and this can be discussed in further detail with short listed candidates.

What We're Looking For

- A genuine passion for bowls and enthusiasm for growing the sport.
- Strong knowledge of the bowls environment.
- Excellent organisation and administration skills.
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with members, volunteers and the wider community.
- Someone proactive who sees opportunities and follows them through.
- Robust relationship-building skills.
- Comfort using technology, competition systems and digital communication tools.
- BowlsLink experience is highly regarded.
- Experience coordinating competitions, tournaments or sporting events is desirable.
- Availability to work flexibly around the bowls calendar, including weekends and major events.

Why Club Mount Lewis?
Club Mount Lewis is entering an exciting period of development and renewal. Bowls remains an important part of our identity, but we also see significant opportunity to introduce the game to new audiences, create new events and experiences, and make greater use of our greens.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of the bowls portfolio and help shape its next chapter.

How to Apply
Please submit your resume together with a brief cover letter outlining your experience in bowls, sport, club operations or event coordination, and why you believe you would be a good fit for Club Mount Lewis.

This role is being advertised via the White Now job board; however, recruitment is being handled directly by the Club. Please direct all enquiries appropriately.
