Staff Specialist Rheumatologist – FRACP

The position offers a broad scope of Rheumatology practice, providing specialist care across outpatient and inpatient settings within a supportive multidisciplinary workplace.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Assessment and management of a broad range of rheumatological and autoimmune conditions
- Delivery of outpatient rheumatology clinics
- Inpatient consultation and specialist advice
- Management of patients with inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease and other complex rheumatological conditions
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care
- Contribution to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development
- Teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and trainees

This role would suit a Rheumatologist looking to establish or continue a broad specialist practice within a well-supported regional health service.

The Location
The client is based in a beautiful coastal area, only an hour’s flight to both Melbourne and Adelaide from their local airport. You will have the best of both worlds in this region – with beautiful parks and gardens and easy access to beaches.

The Facility
This state-of-the-art public hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and psychiatric services and is the major specialist referral centre for the region, comprising of almost 300 beds and serving a catchment in excess of 110,000.

The Requirements
Applicants should hold FRACP in Rheumatology and Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
