IIF

Brisbane

This role can be based anywhere on the east coast — NSW, QLD or VIC — with the flexibility to work from wherever suits you best, provided you're within easy reach of the road and willing to travel regularly to get on-farm.

About IIF

Picture a fourth-generation oyster farmer adding a new lease, or a cropping family finally able to plant out the paddock next door without taking on more debt. That's what IIF makes possible.

IIF is a world-first approach to investing in agriculture that brings farmers and consumers closer together. It gives best-practice farmers early access to capital so they can improve cashflow, minimise risk, and pursue opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. IIF does not invest in a business or land. We are not a loan provider or a line of credit. We invest in what a farm produces eg: cattle, crops, fruit, or vegetables, one season at a time.

We're expanding across every sector we operate in, and into New Zealand. None of that growth happens without people who can go out, find the right farmers, and bring them to our members.

About the Role

This is a critical, high-visibility role for IIF. You'll be our on-the-ground representative across Australian agriculture — the person a farmer meets first, trusts, and eventually signs with. Your primary job is to find good farmers, build genuine trust, and get them onto IIF's share farming model. You won't be weighed down by paperwork: backed by our onboarding team, plus established processes and systems built specifically to support new farmer partners, so you stay free to keep prospecting rather than getting buried in admin.

Your relationship with a farmer doesn't end at signature, either. You'll stay close to the farmers you bring in, helping them grow their operations within the IIF model over time,

and feeding what you see and hear on the ground back to our investor members to help inform their view of the portfolio.

Who We're Looking For

- Someone who goes looking for the next deal rather than waiting for the phone to ring

- Real agricultural experience or an existing network across broadacre cropping, horticulture, livestock or aquaculture — you know how to talk to a farmer as an equal, not a salesperson

- A proven sales background with full ownership of the deal cycle — prospecting, pitching, negotiating and closing — ideally from agribusiness or another agri-facing sales role

- Comfortable getting on-farm and staying on the road for extended stretches; this is not a desk job

- A genuine passion for farmers and Australian agriculture, a phenomenal attitude, and the hunger to keep going after a knock-back

- Adaptable to a fast-changing environment, and hungry to grow the role as IIF grows

What Your Day Could Look Like

- Driving out to meet a broadacre cropping family about expanding onto the block next door

- Working your pipeline — following up warm prospects, and pushing the ones that are ready over the line

- Standing at a stand at a regional field day or agricultural show, talking to growers about a different way to finance growth

- Checking in with a livestock producer you signed two months ago — how's the season, what do they need, and what should our investor members know

- Comparing notes with the GM on deal flow, conversion, and where your next push should go

What IIF Offers

- A genuine mandate with real autonomy — deal support, onboarding and compliance are handled by dedicated teams so you can stay focused on farmers

- A flexible, field-based way of working — build your week around your farmers and your pipeline, wherever they take you

- Exposure across multiple agricultural sectors and regions, not a single narrow patch, with real scope to grow the role over time

- A salary plus incentive-based package that rewards new business results

- The chance to help reshape how Australian farmers access capital, as part of a growing provider of production capital

Why This Role, Why Now

IIF is scaling across all four of the sectors we operate in, and building our presence in New Zealand. Ambitious growth targets are already set for this half — the constraint isn't capital or appetite, it's having enough of the right people out finding good farmers. That's exactly the gap this role exists to fill.

Why Our Team Loves Working at IIF

1. Meaningful impact — every deal you sign changes the trajectory of a real farming family, and helps our investor members put capital to work in a sector that genuinely needs it

2. Autonomy and trust — you own your patch, your pipeline and your relationships, backed by a team that handles the rest

3. Room to grow — as IIF expands across sectors and into Current Zealand, so does the scope of this role

4. A team that backs each other — small enough that your work is visible, and everyone genuinely wants to see you close the next deal

How to Apply

If you know how to walk onto a farm, earn a grower's trust, and walk away with a signed deal, we want to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a short cover note on your track record in new business development within agriculture or agri-finance — we'd love to chat.
