IT Support Technician - Local Council Opportunity

We are currently seeking a reliable and personable IT Support Technician to join a local council team for a 3-week assignment commencing towards the end of September.

This is a outstanding opportunity for someone looking to start or build their career in IT and gain practical experience working in a large organisation. Previous IT experience is beneficial, but we are also open to candidates with an IT qualification or those currently studying IT who are keen to develop their skills.

The Role:

- Setting up computers and workstations
- Connecting computers, cables and peripherals
- Removing old computers and devices from workstations
- Moving and handling IT equipment
- Providing general hands-on support to the IT team
- Assisting with the rollout and setup of IT equipment




- Communicating professionally with council staff

About You:

- Genuine interest in IT and technology
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Confident and personable when dealing with staff
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with computers and basic IT equipment
- Previous IT support experience, IT studies or a relevant qualification is highly beneficial
- Able to commence around the end of September
- Full working rights in Australia
