Machinist

Roster: 8/8 (4DD4NN/8RR) Local to Port Hedland or FIFO ex. Perth

Location: Port Hedland

Employment Type: Temp - Ongoing

About the role
Work within our clients operational environment supporting the reliability and performance of automated (AGV) equipment. You’ll carry out fault finding, breakdown response and planned maintenance while working closely with operations and maintenance teams to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.

Skills & experience

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience in industrial maintenance, breakdowns and fault finding
- Automation, production line, process control or CNC Sinumerik experience highly regarded
- Operation of lathes, millers, metal working machines,



Oxy Acetylene and Arc welding (highly desirable)
- Mechanical Fitter & Turner trade qualification with 2–5 years post-trade experience

Duties & responsibilities

- Troubleshoot faults and respond to equipment breakdowns
- Complete planned, preventative and predictive maintenance
- Identify equipment issues and improve reliability and performance
- Operate lathes, millers and metalworking machinery
- Perform oxy-acetylene and arc welding as required
