We’re looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join the ResourceCo Legal Team and provide strategic, practical legal advice across the ResourceCo Group.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, you’ll work closely with our executive and senior management across the Group, supporting the business with day-to-day corporate and commercial matters while also getting involved in a broad range of projects and transactions.

This is a great opportunity for a lawyer looking to take on a diverse in-house role where you can build strong relationships across the business, work on interesting commercial matters and have a real impact in a growing industry.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Provide strategic and commercial legal advice across the ResourceCo Group.
- Manage a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including contract drafting and negotiation.
- Work closely with executive and senior management to provide practical legal advice that supports business objectives.
- Assist the Head of Legal across M&A;, transactions, major project tenders, property, disputes, regulatory, environmental, employment and recent business matters.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of legal training across the Group.
- Assist in managing corporate, property, litigation, risk and insurance registers.
- Develop and share legal updates across the business using engaging and accessible formats.
- Develop tools, precedents and processes to improve the efficiency and consistency of the Legal function.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help drive positive change across the Group.




- Work collaboratively with the Head of Legal, Legal Counsel, and Paralegal as part of a supportive and close-knit Legal team.

About you:

You’ll be a commercially focused lawyer who enjoys variety, working closely with the business and finding practical solutions to complex issues.

Your skills and experience will include:

- Tertiary qualifications in Law and an unrestricted practising certificate (or eligibility to be admitted to practise, without restriction, in South Australia);
- Approximately 2–4 years' post-admission experience (PQE) gained in private practice or in-house environment;
- Experience in corporate/commercial law, contract negotiation and drafting;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business;
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities;
- Self-motivated, and have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively;
- A proactive and flexible approach, with a genuine willingness to learn;
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment;
- A willingness to travel as required.
