Lead the customer experience and day-to-day hospitality operations of Melbourne Golf Park.
We are looking for a practical, people-focused Operations Manager to lead our front-of-house team and drive the performance, presentation and growth of our hospitality offering (food and beverage, café and bar). This hands-on leadership role is for someone who can balance excellent customer service with team development, commercial awareness and the continued growth of our hospitality offering. The role focuses on service standards, team performance and the customer experience. To support Melbourne Golf Park’s extended opening hours, operational leadership is shared between this role and the ‘Operations Manager – Back of House and Events’, with both managers working collaboratively and positively to support one another’s responsibilities and maintain consistent management across the venue. This is a hands-on, on-site position, with most of your time spent working alongside the team and supporting customers across the venue.
What you will do
- Help manage the smooth day-to-day operation of our driving range, café and bar.
- Maintain our warm, welcoming and consistent customer experience.
- Lead, teach and support team members in a positive, safe and accountable culture.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and wider management team.
About you
- At least two years experience in hospitality or other customer-facing environments, including experience as a team leader, supervisor or manager.
- A supportive leadership style with the confidence to coach, delegate and set clear expectations.
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness and experience working towards service, labour or revenue targets.
- Confidence using business systems and maintaining operational records.
- Due to the hands-on nature of the role, you must be available to work on site during peak customer periods, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Current Australian work rights.
- A university qualification in hospitality management, business, tourism, events or a related field is highly regarded. Recent graduates who have built practical hospitality experience while studying are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in the golf industry is not required.
Why join Melbourne Golf Park
- Enjoy a full time role structured over four days, giving you an additional day away from work each week.
- Take ownership of front-of-house operations and help shape the future of our growing hospitality offering.
- Gain management and commercial experience by working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team.
- Put your ideas into action, improving service standards, team performance and the overall customer experience.
- Make a visible impact on customer loyalty, repeat visitation and commercial growth.
- Access relevant training and professional development.
How to apply
Select Apply and submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your hospitality experience, approach to operational leadership and why you believe you would be a good fit for Melbourne Golf Park’s operations team.
