Role Overview:

We are seeking a committed secondary science teacher. The ability to teach VCE Biology is advantageous but not required.

This is a one-year full-time contract position (from 22 January to 8 December 2027), with the possibility of on-going employment.

- Use teaching strategies based on sound knowledge of students’ physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics to improve student learning.

- Establish and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with parents/carer's regarding their children’s learning and wellbeing.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have:

- Skill and interest in teaching Science.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus time management skills.

- Knowledge and understanding of best practice in education.

- Skilled in creating a warm, welcoming and productive classroom environment.

- Ability to foster and promote positive relationships with all stakeholders (students, colleagues, parents and the wider community).

- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team.
