We are a fast growing, Family Owned Australian FMCG business based in Altona North, creating delicious products that are genuinely better for you. Our portfolio spans Spreads, Protein Bars, High Protein Granola, Powders, Pet and other emerging better for you categories.

Following significant investment in our manufacturing capability, production lines, warehousing and people, we are now looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead the next stage of our operational growth.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and forming part of the senior leadership team, the Head of Operations will lead our end to end operational functions across:

- Production & Manufacturing

- Warehouse & Inventory

- Quality Assurance & Technical

- Engineering & Maintenance

This is a highly influential, hands on leadership role responsible for driving outstanding performance across safety, quality, service, cost, people and productivity.

You will lead the continued development of our operational capability, systems, processes and teams while ensuring our sites are positioned to support Mayver’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Leadership & Strategy

- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction across Production, Warehouse, Quality, Technical and Engineering/Maintenance.

- Develop and execute the operations strategy aligned with Mayver’s broader business growth plans.

- Translate business and customer requirements into clear operational priorities, plans and performance targets.

- Build the operational capability, structure, systems and processes required to support continued business growth.

- Act as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to broader commercial and strategic business decisions.

- Establish a strong operating rhythm across all functions, with clear accountability, reporting and escalation processes.

- Ensure operational priorities are effectively communicated throughout all levels of the organisation.

Manufacturing & Warehouse

- Deliver production plans safely, efficiently and consistently.

- Drive improvements across OEE, labour productivity, yield, waste, downtime and changeovers.

- Improve warehouse performance, inventory accuracy,



stock integrity and material flow.

- Ensure strong alignment between Production, Warehouse and Planning.

- Identify capacity constraints and deliver sustainable operational solutions.

Quality & Technical

- Embed a strong Right First Time quality culture throughout Operations.

- Ensure products are manufactured consistently to specification and meet all customer, regulatory and food safety requirements.

- Drive a proactive quality culture across the site, ensuring food safety and product quality are embedded into day to day behaviours and decision making.

- Support continuous improvement and compliance of HACCP, food safety, GMP and operational quality standards

- Strengthen root cause analysis, corrective actions and operational quality processes.

Engineering & Maintenance

- Lead equipment reliability, preventative maintenance and engineering performance.

- Reduce downtime and improve plant reliability.

- Support capital projects, new equipment installation and manufacturing expansion.

- Ensure engineering and maintenance activities are completed safely and effectively.

Continuous Improvement

- Build a robust culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

- Use data and structured problem solving to drive productivity and eliminate recurring issues.

- Improve factory flow, labour utilisation, processes and standard work.

- Identify automation and technology opportunities that improve safety, quality and efficiency.

People & Culture

- Coach and develop Managers, Supervisors and operational leaders.

- Build a high performance culture centred on accountability, teamwork and communication.

- Develop capability across Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and operational teams.

- Ensure appropriate workforce planning and labour structures are in place.

- Partner closely with the SLT on recruitment, performance management, training and development.

- Create an environment where teams are encouraged to identify problems, challenge existing processes and contribute ideas.





- Establish clear role accountability and performance expectations.

- Strengthen workforce capability, succession planning and training.

- Maintain a highly visible leadership presence across the production and warehouse floor.

Safety & Commercial Performance

- Champion a proactive safety culture across all operational functions.

- Manage operational budgets, labour, waste, downtime and other key cost drivers.

- Develop business cases for capital investment and operational improvements.

- Balance quality, service, cost and capacity in operational decision making.

About You

You will be an experienced senior Operations or Manufacturing leader with a strong background in FMCG food manufacturing.

You will bring:

- Exceptional people leadership and communication skills managing large diverse teams

- A practical, hands on leadership style.

- Significant senior operational leadership experience.

- Experience leading multiple functions across Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality and Engineering.

- Strong commercial and financial acumen.

- Strong knowledge of OEE, productivity, yield, waste, labour and manufacturing cost drivers.

- Experience improving plant reliability and preventative maintenance.

- Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.

- Proven continuous improvement and problem solving capability.

- Experience managing capital projects and manufacturing expansion.
