- Work with a diverse clinical caseload across residential aged care, community NDIS and Homecare settings
- Work closely and collaboratively with our broader multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes, consisting of geriatricians, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, exercise physiologists, behavioural therapists, podiatrists and music therapists
- Receive ongoing mentoring and training
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and driven full-time Physiotherapist to join our team in a mixed caseload role across aged care and community settings.
This position will involve 3 days per week working across residential aged care settings and 2 days per week providing community-based services, including NDIS and Homecare clients. You will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, treatments and interventions while improving patient outcomes through best-practice, evidence-based care.
The role will involve travel across Metropolitan Sydney, with support and mentorship provided by our experienced senior clinicians.
Your training will include:
- Intensive 1-on-1 shadowing with our Senior Physiotherapist, if required
- Exposure to a diverse aged care, community and NDIS client base
- Training tailored to your skill set and experience
- Travel across Metropolitan Sydney as required for training and shadowing
- Work-from-home training and report-writing opportunities
- Assistance with developing and growing your own caseload
You will be:
- Trained to provide independent professional assessments, recommendations and therapy, including functional and mobility assessments, falls risk assessments and prevention programs, strength, balance and reconditioning programs, chronic pain management, post-hospital and neurological rehabilitation, and assistive technology and mobility equipment recommendations
- Complete treatment notes and NDIS reports to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Respect client and resident confidentiality, rights, cultural beliefs and privacy
- Establish and maintain outstanding rapport with patients, residents, facility managers and support coordinators to facilitate mutually beneficial relationships
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Passion for delivering high-quality care in the aged care and disability spaces
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Valid police check
- Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Eagerness to work across aged care, community and NDIS settings
- New graduates and experienced physiotherapists are welcome to apply
