ERH is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Theatre team as a Perioperative Student. This role combines hands-on clinical practice with supported postgraduate study, providing a pathway to develop specialist perioperative skills in a supportive regional health service.
This is a fabulous opportunity to work and learn in a supportive environment within the peri operative unit, assuming responsibility for patient care through anaesthetics, PACU, circulation and instrument nursing.
Key responsibilities include:
· Deliver high-quality nursing care.
· Participate in patient assessment, care planning and advocacy.
· Develop perioperative competencies and clinical expertise.
· Engage in education, training and quality improvement activities.
· Work within professional and ethical nursing frameworks
Qualifications/experience required:
· Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
· Strong clinical nursing knowledge and skills.
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
· A commitment to completing postgraduate perioperative studies.
· Availability to participate in the after-hours and weekend on-call roster.
· A commitment to best practice and patient-centred care
