Are you a fun, passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist who loves working with children and families?

Power Kids Therapy Centre is a growing paediatric private practice located south of the river in Perth, and we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

With an established Occupational Therapy caseload and continued demand for our services, this is a great opportunity to step into a paediatric role with the support, resources and client base already in place, while also having the opportunity to contribute to the continued development and growth of our Occupational Therapy service.

About us

Power Kids Therapy Centre is a paediatric therapy service dedicated to empowering children to progress and thrive by supporting participation, exploration and growth for every child, every day. Our team provides Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Allied Health Assistant services to children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, genetic and physical disabilities.

Our current clinic is located in Atwell and has been designed to support active and engaging therapy. As our team and services continue to grow, plans are underway for a larger purpose-built clinic space in 2027.

Our therapists have the flexibility to work across clinic, home,



school and community environments depending on the needs and goals of each child and family. You will be joining a team that values collaboration, creativity, ongoing learning and providing high-quality, individualised therapy.

About the role

As an Occupational Therapist at Power Kids Therapy Centre, you will work with children and their families to support participation, independence and development across the activities that are important to them.

You will have access to an established paediatric caseload while also having the opportunity to help shape the continued development of our Occupational Therapy services.

You will work closely alongside our Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant team, with opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and shared learning, particularly when supporting children with complex physical and developmental disabilities.

Depending on your experience and professional interests, there will also be opportunities over time to contribute to the growth and development of the Occupational Therapy team.

What you'll do

- Complete comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify each child's strengths, needs and functional goals

- Develop individualised, family-centred intervention plans

- Provide therapy to support areas such as fine motor development, self-care, play, sensory processing, emotional regulation, participation and daily living skills

- Assess and prescribe appropriate assistive technology and equipment where required

- Work with children across clinic, home, school and community environments

- Educate and support parents and caregivers to promote carryover of therapy strategies into everyday routines

- Collaborate closely with families, educators and multidisciplinary teams including Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, psychologists, paediatricians, GPs, hospitals and other services

- Complete clinical documentation,



reports and correspondence to support each child's therapy and NDIS goals

Our caseload

Our Occupational Therapists work with children presenting with a broad range of needs and diagnoses, including:

- Cerebral Palsy and other neurological conditions

- Genetic conditions including Down syndrome

- Autism

- ADHD

- Global Developmental Delay

- Developmental and physical disabilities

- Fine motor and handwriting difficulties

- Sensory processing differences

- Self-care and daily living challenges

- Motor planning and coordination difficulties

- Assistive technology and equipment needs

Our caseload includes children with both developmental and complex physical disabilities, providing a varied role with opportunities to develop experience across a broad range of paediatric Occupational Therapy practice.

Skills & experience

- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

- Full working rights within Australia

- Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain

- Current driver's licence

- Minimum of one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, with paediatric experience preferred

- A genuine passion for working with children and families

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Collaborative and positive approach to working within a multidisciplinary team

- Ability to work autonomously while seeking support when required

- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development

Experience working with children with physical disability, neurological conditions or complex developmental presentations would be highly regarded but is not essential.
