We're seeking an experienced Maintenance & Asset Superintendent to lead maintenance operations in Hunter Valley, ensuring the protected, reliable and cost-effective performance of mobile and fixed plant assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for people, safety, asset performance and maintenance delivery.

The Role

- Lead and supervise maintenance team

- Manage preventative maintenance, breakdowns and statutory compliance activities

- Drive a strong safety culture aligned with site, customer and legislative requirements

- Oversee maintenance scheduling across multiple operational sites

- Monitor asset performance, availability and maintenance costs

- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

- Manage contractors and outsourced maintenance services

- Build strong relationships with internal teams and customers

- Deliver regular reporting on asset performance and cost

About You

- Trade qualified (Mechanical/Fitter or Electrical with automotive fixed plant experience)

- Strong experience maintaining mobile and fixed plant operations

- Proven leadership experience in maintenance or field operations

- Knowledge or an understanding of legislation relevant to the open cut mining environment is desirable





- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance outcomes

- Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability

- Experience working in high-risk environments (mining or hazardous industries preferred)

Licences & Tickets

- Supervisor Training (Mining)

- Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence advantageous)

- High risk work licence (FL/Dogging/EWP)

- Dangerous Goods Licence (current or ability to obtain)

- Current or the ability to obtain relevant Security Clearances / Authorisation for unsupervised access to Security Sensitive Dangerous in all states which AECI operate
