About the Role

This role is a permanent, part-time General Hand/Bale Press Operator position based in Moruya, reporting to the Logistics Manager and offering 48 hours per fortnight, worked across weekdays. Approximately two days each week will be spent travelling to South Coast centres to collect donated clothing and footwear bags. On the third day, you’ll operate the bale press, packing and pressing as many bags as possible into 200kg bales for transportation back to Canberra.

This is a hands-on role involving regular driving, lifting, loading, unloading and manual handling of goods. A current C Class Driver’s Licence is required, and you’ll need to be comfortable working independently, travelling between locations and following safe driving and manual handling practices. You’ll play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring donated goods are prepared efficiently for transportation.

About You

You’re someone who likes to keep busy, enjoys being out and about, and doesn’t mind getting stuck in. You’ll enjoy having a mix of driving, hands-on work and working as part of a team, with no two days quite the same. You’re reliable, practical and organised, with a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.

To be successful in this role, you’ll hold a current Driver’s Licence. A Forklift Licence is not required but will be highly regarded. You’ll also need to complete a National Police Check and hold, or obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card before commencing.
