About the role

As Tax Manager, you'll lead a team of accounting professionals while managing a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries. You'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time, supporting the professional development of team members, and helping drive continuous improvement across the business. This role combines technical expertise, people leadership and strategic thinking.

Key responsibilities

- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of accountants

- Managing team workflow and supporting successful client outcomes

- Reviewing and approving complex taxation and accounting work

- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser

- Supporting business development initiatives and growth opportunities

- Driving process improvements and operational efficiency

- Contributing to strategic projects and organisational initiatives

- Promoting collaboration across our Bendigo and Melbourne teams

About you

- Holds CPA qualifications

- Has at least 5 years' experience in public practice accounting

- Has robust technical knowledge across taxation, accounting and compliance

- Demonstrates proven leadership and people management capability

- Enjoys coaching, mentoring and developing others

- Builds trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

- Has strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills





- Takes a proactive approach to improving systems and processes

- Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels
