About Us
Since 1999, Independent Rehabilitation Services (IRS) has been at the forefront of community neuro allied health. We believe that to provide the best care for our clients, we must first provide the best environment for our clinicians.
We are expanding our multidisciplinary family and are looking for OTs with experience who want to deepen their expertise in a supportive, community-based setting. Graduates passionate about community neuro and keen to develop into high performing clinicians are also strongly encouraged to apply.
What We Offer
- More Time for Life: Work with clients near your home with complete calendar flexibility. Choose where you work each day—in the field, WFH, or at our Carnegie/Werribee offices.
- Outstanding Benefits: Above-market salary, 5 weeks annual leave (+ 17.5% loading), 5 days PD leave, and travel allowance.
- Less Admin, More Care: Our dedicated Business Support Team (BeST) handles the heavy administrative lifting so you can focus on clinical outcomes.
- Vibrant Culture: Famous for our "Reliable Socials" (snow trips, movie nights, Pilates), Monday Huddles, and Wednesday team lunches.
What You'll Be Doing
- Complex Neuro Care: Deliver high-level assessments and creative, evidence-based therapy for adults with ABI/TBI, Stroke, SCI, and progressive conditions from hospital discharge to long-term community living.
- Impactful Community Therapy:
Work directly in clients' homes and communities, using your clinical creativity to drive functional independence without rigid clinic constraints.
- Diverse Funding Mix: Enjoy a balanced caseload across TAC, WorkSafe, Support at Home, NDIS, and Private clients, acting as a strategic advocate without getting stuck in single-scheme bureaucracy.
- Autonomy & Flexibility: Design your own calendar with full control over your day, backed by 1-on-1 clinical supervision, team huddles and cross-team catch-ups.
Your Professional Growth
- Career Journey Program: Tailored mentoring to help you master complex equipment, take on leadership roles, or supervise students.
- Built-In Support: Comprehensive induction modules, 1-on-1 supervision, and our Resilience Buddy Program.
- Specialist Matching: Caseloads are carefully matched to your current experience, geographic location, and clinical development goals.
About You
You are a clinician who values clinical excellence but also wants to be part of a genuine, inclusive culture.
- The Basics: AHPRA Registered Occupational Therapist with a current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle.
- The Passion: You believe in the community model and love neuro, and are motivated by seeing clients achieve independence in their own homes and communities.
- The Mindset: You are a lifelong learner, highly organised, and seeking a workplace that treats you as a priority.
