Role Description This is a full-time, in office Signwriter role based in Burnie, TAS. The Signwriter will design, produce, and install a variety of signage, including vehicle graphics, shopfront signs, banners, and other custom projects. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting client briefs, preparing artwork and layouts, selecting appropriate materials, operating sign making equipment, and applying vinyl or printed graphics.

The role involves hands-on fabrication, measuring and cutting substrates, and performing on-site installations with attention to safety and quality. The Signwriter will collaborate with the team to meet deadlines, maintain equipment and workshop cleanliness,



and ensure a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications
Experience in signwriting, graphic design, or visual communication, including layout, typography, and color use.
Practical skills with sign making tools and equipment (e.g., vinyl cutters, printers, laminators, hand and power tools).
Ability to read and interpret client specifications, sketches, and digital artwork files.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling, working at heights, and on ladders or platforms, following safety procedures.
Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production and installation deadlines.
Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team in a workshop and in office environment.
Relevant trade qualification, apprenticeship, or industry experience in signwriting or a related field is highly desirable.
Current driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for installations.
