About the role

Based out of our Perth office in Applecross, this key leadership role will support our Port Hedland team and oversee a team of three estimators. You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, managing tender submissions, reviewing project requirements, and supporting the wider team with pricing, planning, and commercial decision-making. You will take ownership of the estimating process, work closely with management, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, and help ensure every opportunity is assessed clearly, competitively, and professionally.

Key responsibilities
Lead, support, and mentor a team of three estimators
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates, quotes, and tender submissions
Support the Port Hedland team with pricing, tenders, and project opportunities
Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation
Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
Identify risks, exclusions, opportunities, and value-engineering options
Maintain estimating systems, templates, and cost databases
Work closely with project, operations, and management teams
Improve estimating processes across the business
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

About you
Proven experience in an estimating role,



ideally at a senior or lead level
Experience leading, mentoring, or supporting other estimators
Strong understanding of construction, trades, or project-based works
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Robust computer skills and experience with estimating software
A practical, organised, and solutions-focused approach
Ability to work independently while supporting a wider team
