At Seven Miles Coffee Roasters, we’re passionate about crafting exceptional coffee, and that starts with our people. We’re on the lookout for a hands-on Production Assistant to join our operations team, working closely with our Roasters and Hand Packing crew to prepare and package our specialty coffee.

This role is all about consistency: you’ll take ownership of our Vertical Form Fill Sealing Machine (Goglio G18), packaging our beautiful freshly roasted coffee. While also lending a hand across roasting, hand-packing, dispatch, and general production support. If you love working with machinery, take pride in precision, and thrive in a team setting, this could be your perfect blend.

Operating hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 10:00pm

What you’ll be doing
Operate and maintain the Goglio G18 packaging machine to ensure products meet spec.
Troubleshoot and carry out simple technical fixes to minimise downtime.
Calibrate, clean, and prepare machinery for different SKUs.
Monitor weights, seals, labels, and quality standards with accuracy.
Train and support recent team members on G18 operations.
Assist with roasting, grinding, manual weighing, and hand packing as required.




Learn to Roast and cover roasting shifts as required
Keep accurate records of production data, batch codes, and inventory.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace in line with HACCP & WHS standards.

A hands-on, mechanically minded person who enjoys working with machines.
A team player who communicates well and pitches in wherever needed.
Proactive, safety-conscious, and eager to learn.
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one).
