Stores Administrator / Store Person

Leadology is proud recruitment partner of Whitty Engineering - a family‑owned engineering business specialising in delivering engineered solutions across timber, construction, housing and industrial sectors. Established in 2008, they now employ 60 staff in our purpose‑built Mount Gambier workshop.

They are currently seeking a Stores Administrator / Store Person to keep materials, tools and consumables flowing efficiently to support our fabrication and engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone who values order, accountability and clear processes in a busy industrial environment and who can bring a balanced skillset of stores operational experience with strong administration and computer skills.

About the Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll ensure the stores operate in a secure, organised and disciplined manner.

Key responsibilities include:
Receiving deliveries and checking against purchase orders and dockets
Administering stores including sourcing quotes and issuing purchase orders
Making purchasing decisions
Accurately recording,



labelling and storing materials
Issuing and receiving tools and consumables
Maintaining stock levels and raising replenishment requests
Keeping stores and lay‑down areas clean, organised and clearly labelled
Communicating shortages, delays or issues to relevant teams
Following WHS, manual handling and safe storage procedures

About You
Experience in stores, warehousing or inventory control
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Computer skills (inventory systems, spreadsheets, email)
Forklift licence or willingness to obtain
Reliable, practical and able to work independently
