Baker Position – Bakers Crust Wholesale Bakery

Location: Sunshine West, Melbourne, VIC (family-owned wholesale bakery specialising in artisan breads)

Bakers Crust is a proud, family-owned wholesale bakery dedicated to crafting high-quality artisan breads and baked goods for cafes, restaurants, and retailers across Melbourne. With a focus on traditional techniques and consistent excellence, we're looking for a skilled and reliable Baker to join our early-morning production team.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our wholesale production team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a range of artisan breads and other products to meet daily wholesale orders.

Key Responsibilities
Mix and prepare doughs for various bread types
Scale, divide, shape, and proof products
Operate ovens and monitor baking processes to ensure consistent quality
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness
Work efficiently to meet production schedules and daily targets




Assist with general bakery duties as required

What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in baking and dough mixing (essential)
Previous experience in a wholesale bakery environment is highly preferable (but not essential)
Robust understanding of bread production processes, including dough handling and fermentation
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure
Reliable, punctual, and physically fit for a production role
Positive team attitude and commitment to quality
Current food handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Shift Details
Monday to Friday
Starts between 7am - 9am
Shifts typically finish between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM (depending on daily production)
Full-time position available
