Job Description
What you will do
In this position, you will be part of Klarna's incident response team, leading incident-related initiatives and improvement projects within a banking and financial services environment.
You will drive structure, planning, and execution across incident response activities, ensuring progress, clear communication, and timely resolution during high-impact situations.
Beyond live incidents, you will lead follow-up work such as root cause analysis, remediation planning, and delivery of preventive improvements that strengthen operational resilience.
This position includes participation in an on-call rotation with compensation and requires calm, structured decision-making under pressure.
We are looking for experienced project managers or highly technical professionals with the skills and experience needed to meet the outlined requirements.
Who you are
Experience within the banking or financial services industry
Background in incident management, problem management, DevOps, or technical project management
Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, drive, and follow up complex incident-related initiatives
Ability to bring structure and clarity to unstructured and fast-moving environments
Comfortable making decisions under pressure while remaining calm and constructive
Clear and effective communicator who can coordinate stakeholders during critical situations
Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, with a willingness to push progress and close loops
Awesome to have
Experience leading incident response projects or major incident workstreams
Experience driving post-incident reviews and long-term remediation initiatives
Exposure to on-call operations for business-critical systems
Familiarity with regulated, highly available, or mission-critical technical environments
