About the Role
As a Porter, you'll be the welcoming face of the hotel by assisting guests with luggage, valet parking, and navigating our facilities.
You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth arrivals and departures, maintaining the lobby's presentation, and supporting the Front Office team in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with luggage and directions
Deliver and retrieve luggage to and from guest rooms with care and efficiency
Safely store guest belongings in the luggage room and handle group arrivals
Assist with valet parking, ensuring compliance with Australian road regulations
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented lobby area
Explain room features and promote hotel services during luggage delivery
Respond to guest queries about hotel facilities and local attractions
Support front office operations and complete handovers accurately
Assist guests with disabilities in accordance with accessibility guidelines
Monitor and report any safety hazards or system issues
Uphold hotel grooming, conduct, and safety standards
Participate in training sessions and departmental briefings
Handle guest mail, messages, and parcels promptly
Process payments and follow cash handling procedures




Maintain confidentiality of guest and staff information
Promote hotel offerings and contribute to upselling initiatives
About You
Previous experience in a porter or guest services role preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Valid driver's license
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
