About the role
The Administrative Assistant supports a multi-disciplinary team by providing high-level admin and reception services, maintaining accurate records and booking lists, managing outpatient clinic bookings, and improving departmental efficiency through effective systems and processes.
Key duties of the role
Provide a front-line reception service to the department
Provide appropriate support to patients, relatives and visitors and appropriately direct telephone calls and inquiries
Ensure that enquiries regarding patient welfare are dealt with promptly by directing enquiries to relevant nursing or medical staff
Receive and process referrals.
Maintain confidential patient Unit Records
Skills and Experience
Previous administrative / clerical experience.
Experience with the use of windows and Microsoft Office products
Experience in dealing with a wide range of organisations and senior staff members
Ability to deal with situations, staff and patients with maturity and empathy
Work effectively within a team environment.
