About This Role:
n
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and organisational policies. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the EN ensures the physical, emotional, and social well‐being of elderly residents while maintaining a safe and supportive setting.
n
Key Responsibilities include:
n
n
Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of resident care under RN supervision.
n
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following facility protocols.
n
Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting changes to the RN.
n
Assist with wound care, catheter management, and other clinical interventions.
n
Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and feeding.
n
Foster a person-centred approach, respecting residents' dignity and preferences.
n
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance quality of life.
n
Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
n
Adhere to infection control, WHS, and aged care quality standards.
n
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in care records.
n
Follow facility policies, procedures,



and regulatory requirements.
n
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team (RNs, carers, allied health).
n
Participate in handovers, staff meetings, and training sessions.
n
Mentor and support less experienced care staff as needed.
n
n
Qualifications & Requirements:
n
Essential:
n
n
Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
n
At least 1 year experience in aged care, dementia care, or a similar setting (preferred).
n
Strong clinical skills, including medication administration and chronic disease management.
n
Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care.
n
Current First Aid & CPR certification.
n
National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening required.
n
Must comply with having annual flu vaccination and be fully immunised against COVID-19.
n

Experience with palliative care and complex health needs.

Knowledge of electronic health records (e.g., iCare, MHR).
