About the Role
Lead the Department of Medicine in a contemporary regional hospital, providing strategic, clinical and operational leadership. Ensure safe, high-quality patient care while driving service development, workforce excellence and innovation. Approximately 50% of the role is clinical.
Key Responsibilities
Lead governance, service planning and performance improvement
Manage workforce recruitment, training and wellbeing
Drive education, research and accreditation
Champion innovative care models, including Virtual Care
Lead quality, safety and risk initiatives
Build strong stakeholder partnerships
FRACP and AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
Senior leadership experience in General Medicine or similar specialty
Experience in governance, workforce and service development
Strong communication and change management skills
Passion for education and research
