Job Description
St John of God Midland Public Hospital

maternity support through MoortBoojariMia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.

The Role
n
You will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in the delivery of quality patient care and in the provision of support services to clinical staff in area of speciality.
n
The Position
n
n
Transport patients to all areas of the hospital in accordance with recommended safe practices (any mode of transport including bed and wheelchair)
n
Assists with patient mobility, transfers and positioning in accordance with occupational safety and health practices, using manual handling equipment such as hoists and slide sheets under the direction of the
Registered/Enrolled
Nurse/Midwife
n
Maintain tidy patient care environment
n
Remove clinical care equipment and supplies from discharge rooms as relevant to area of work
n
Strip, clean and restock discharge
beds/trolleys/cubicles/bathrooms
as relevant to area of work
n
Prepare the meal table, open packages and ensure patient is positioned to eat and drink.
n
Seek assistance from other caregivers if patient needs help with feeding (e.g. cutting up food)
n
Assists by answering patient call bells and telephone calls in a timely manner,
making and tidying patient beds and assist in ensuring patients surroundings are clean and tidy
n
n
With well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively and harmoniously within in a multi-disciplinary team environment, commitment to customer service will be a priority.
n
To succeed you will have the ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise own workload and demonstrate good organisational skills.
n

Market-competitive salary: $64,436 to $67,489 plus 12% superannuation
n
Permanment, part-time position available
n
