About the Chance
n
A growing financial services organisation looking to appoint a Chief Information Officer.
n
This is an enterprise leadership role responsible for translating business strategy into a clear and disciplined technology agenda. The CIO will lead technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity, data, governance and investment while ensuring the organisation's technology capability supports sustainable growth.
n
Working closely with the executive leadership team and Board stakeholders, you will modernise critical systems, strengthen operational resilience and ensure technology investment delivers measurable business value.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Develop and execute an enterprise technology, digital and data strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
n
Advise executive leaders and Board stakeholders on technology investment, cybersecurity, operational resilience and emerging risks.
n
Lead technology operations across infrastructure, business systems, applications, cybersecurity, data and service delivery.
n
Prioritise and deliver major transformation and technology modernisation initiatives.
n
Strengthen technology governance, architecture, risk management, regulatory compliance and data protection.
n
Oversee technology budgets, investment decisions, business cases and benefits realisation.
n
Manage strategic technology partners and vendors to ensure performance, value and accountability.
n
Build and lead a high-performing technology function with clear priorities and strong commercial discipline.
n
Develop productive relationships across the business so technology decisions reflect operational, customer and growth priorities.
n

Skills and Experience
n
n
Proven experience as a CIO, Head of Technology, IT Director or senior technology executive with enterprise-wide accountability.
n
Significant leadership experience within financial services, banking, insurance, wealth management, fintech or another highly regulated environment.
n
A strong record of translating business strategy into practical technology roadmaps and delivering complex transformation programs.
n
Deep understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk, operational resilience, data governance, privacy and regulatory obligations.
n
Experience leading enterprise platform modernisation, cloud adoption, systems integration and technology-enabled business change.
n
Strong commercial capability across technology investment, budgeting, procurement, vendor management and benefits realisation.
n
The credibility and communication skills to advise executive leaders and Board stakeholders on complex technology matters.
n
Demonstrated success building capable teams and creating accountability across internal and external technology functions.
n
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant qualified certifications will be well regarded.
