About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tour Guide to join our team in Yulara, Northern Territory, delivering guided cycling tours in the stunning landscapes surrounding Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
This full-time, ongoing role involves leading immersive and safe cycling experiences for a broad range of guests, as well as engaging in promotional and marketing activities that showcase our unique offerings to a wider audience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead guided cycling tours through Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and surrounding areas.
Deliver engaging, informative commentary on Indigenous culture, natural history, geology, and local features.
Provide excellent customer service and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all participants.
Conduct safety briefings and manage on-tour safety, group coordination, and route navigation.
Perform basic bicycle checks and minor maintenance.
Capture photo and video content for marketing purposes.
Contribute to blogs, newsletters, and social media posts to promote the company's tours.
Represent the company at tourism events and engage with prospective guests or partners as needed.
Skills and Experience Required
Essential
Minimum 2 years of experience in tour guiding or outdoor adventure tourism (cycling preferred).
Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: French, Spanish, Italian, or German.
Outstanding interpersonal and public speaking skills.
High level of physical fitness and comfort working in hot, remote environments.
Basic mechanical skills for bicycle maintenance.
Applied First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
Valid Australian manual driver's licence.
Licences, Endorsements, and Training (Support Provided)
MR (Medium Rigid) Driver's Licence – training and support provided to obtain.
"H" Endorsement – required for carrying passengers; support provided.
Uluru Tour Guide Accreditation – required via online course with Charles Darwin University.
Applied First Aid Certification – 1-day course to be completed prior to commencement.
Desirable
Tour Guiding qualifications
Wilderness First Aid or Remote First Aid certification.
Familiarity with Central Australian Indigenous culture and natural landscape.
Experience towing a trailer.

Salary: $70,000 p.a. (commensurate with experience)
