As a
Pan Boiler Assistant
at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables,you will be responsible for the production of high-grade sugar. This includes monitoring and controlling batch pans, assessing crystal size and massecuite quality and making required changes to ensure sugar quality is met.
Initially located at Victoria Mill, Ingham offers a laid-back lifestyle, with stunning island beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Herbert Region has it all waiting for you.
This is a permanent position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime and day work during the maintenance period (Jan - May).
Your Winning Combination
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (including familiarity communicating via UHF) and demonstrable ability to work alongside a range of different people. Basic mechanical skills will be highly regarded.
While the following qualifications are requirements in this role, training will be considered for people who possess the right aptitude and team fit:
Working at Heights
Confined Space
Maintenance skills which are also highly desirable include; Trade qualifications, Rigger, Dogger and Scaffolder High Risk Work Licences

The successful applicant will also be required to undertake further training to complete the appropriate station and maintenance competencies.
