We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join a major healthcare infrastructure project based in Albury, NSW.
n
This is a key project leadership role responsible for driving safety performance across all construction activities while ensuring compliance with company systems, project requirements, and legislative obligations.
n
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership teams to promote a strong safety culture and support the successful delivery of this significant healthcare project.
n
This is a site-based position and would suit either an experienced Safety Manager or a highly capable Senior Safety Coordinator ready to step into a leadership role.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, the Safety Manager will be responsible for leading all health and safety initiatives on site, ensuring compliance with company standards and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
n
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CPB Contractors' Safety Management Systems and previous experience working on major building projects.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the implementation and continual improvement of project safety management systems.
n
Promote and drive a positive safety culture across the project.
n
Provide expert safety advice and support to project management and construction teams.
n
Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
n
Lead incident investigations and corrective action management.
n
Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Facilitate risk assessments, SWMS reviews,



and safety planning activities.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, project requirements, and company procedures.
n
Manage safety reporting and project safety documentation.
n
Develop solid working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
n
Mentor and support project safety personnel.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Safety Manager capacity within the construction industry.
n
Strong understanding of construction safety management systems and legislative requirements.
n
Previous experience delivering safety outcomes on major building or infrastructure projects.
n
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
n
Strong communication and influencing skills.
n
Ability to build collaborative relationships with operational teams and subcontractors.
n
Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
n
Relevant safety qualifications (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in WHS or related discipline).
n
Construction White Card.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Previous experience with CPB Contractors Safety Management Systems.
n
Experience working on large healthcare, commercial, or major building projects.
n
ICAM or equivalent investigation training.
n
n
