The chance
n
The locum CMO In-Charge will be on-call only for the entire placement as a solo doctor. The hospital is a 28-bed acute facility that provides a wide variety of acute services and community health services from O&G;, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Surgery, with a 4-bed Emergency Department.

Approximately 20 patients per day
n
Busiest hours are between 8am and 9pm
n
Majority of patients are Cat 4 & 5 with low acuity presentations however there are cardiac or septis presentations
n
There isn't a GP in the town however there is a nurse practitioner who works Monday-Friday, 10am – 6pm
n
All nurses are FLECC trainedn
n
2 reg nurses work during the day
n
1 reg nurse works at night and manages the patients
n
n
Night doctors are only if an emergency
n




The facility is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect with specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service (CCAS)
n
Deteriorating patients are sent to Armidale
n
