An established hospitality services operation is seeking a qualified Commis Chef to join its team within a busy hospital café environment on the Sunshine Coast. This is an opportunity to work in a professional healthcare setting where quality food, food safety and consistency are essential. You will be part of a supportive kitchen team providing meals and café services to patients, staff and visitors.

The Role
n
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commis Chef's to assist with the preparation and delivery of high-quality food across a busy kitchen operation. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a well-balanced roster designed to provide genuine flexibility and work-life balance. You will be responsible for:

Assisting with the preparation and production of meals across a high-volume kitchen
n
Supporting bulk cooking and food preparation requirements
n
Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation standards
n
Following strict food safety, hygiene and healthcare catering requirements
n
Working collaboratively with the broader kitchen and café team
n
Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen duties
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
n




Supporting the team across different service periods as required
n

The Candidate
n
We are looking for a qualified Chef or an experienced cook who is reliable, organised and comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen workplace. To be successful, you will have:
n
n
A recognised chef qualification or completed apprenticeship
n
A Cook with relative experience in the similar role
n
Experience with bulk cooking and high-volume food preparation
n
Previous café, aged care, institutional or healthcare catering experience highly regarded
n
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
n
The ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
n
A positive and collaborative approach to working within a team
n
Reliability and flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster
n
n
