About the Opportunity

Specialist Plant Operator - Street Sweeper
i in the Operations team
In this role you will safely and efficiently operate and service Council's Street Sweeper, ensuring streets, kerbs, gutters and drainage systems throughout Parkes and the Shire villages are maintained to a high standard.
Key functions include undertaking street sweeping and associated maintenance activities, responding to call-outs and emergency situations and ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and Council policies and procedures.

About You
The successful applicant requires strong communication and teamwork skills. To be successful in this position you will need:
Current and maintained NSW Driver's Licence
SafeWork NSW Construction induction (White Card)
Demonstrated experience in the operation of mobile plant
It will be highly favourable if you possess any of the following:
Certificate III in Civil Construction
Traffic Control Qualifications: Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control plans
Other Plant Operation certificates
Current First Aid Certificate

Local Government (State) Award
and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
This role is classified as Grade 7 with a salary range of $***** to $***** per hour, equating to a starting annual salary of approximately $64,360 depending on qualifications and experience.
