About the role:
n
The firm is seeking a 2-5+ PQE lawyer or associate (title commensurate on experience) to join its employment practice. This is not a replacement role, but a growth role given the increased volume of employment law work.
n




You will be responsible for:
n
n
Advising employers on a variety of advisory, contentious and strategic workplace matters in employment law, industrial relations law, work health and safety law, and discrimination law
n
Preparing documents for and attending proceedings in the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission
n
Drafting Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court documents, including affidavits, concise statements, witness statements, and interlocutory applications
n
Working with and instruct counsel for matters running to the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court
n
Advising high net worth clients regarding their employment law issues
n
Conducting legal research into the latest updates in employment and discrimination law
n
n
The ideal candidate:
n
n
2-5 years PQE in employment, workplace or industrial law, or a related field
n
Confident and able to communicate with clients
n
Empathetic and strong-willed
n
Wants ownership of their work and advice
